The rotary rake vacuum dryer has the characteristics of low drying temperature, large drying rate, energy saving, good equipment tightness and easy recovery of solvent. It is especially suitable for materials that are not resistant to high temperature, easy to oxidize at high temperature or easy to produce powder when dry (such as Kinds of dyes, as well as the need to recycle solvents or materials containing toxic gases and other drying operations, and have the advantages of quality and does not damage the inherent properties of materials, widely used in petrochemical, food and pharmaceutical, dyes and other industries.
Foreign research on vacuum kneading dryers is relatively early, especially in recent years, most of them are research and development from the aspects of increasing heat transfer area and improving heat transfer efficiency. A vacuum kneading dryer for continuously drying paste materials has been produced in Japan.
Domestic research on such dryers began in the 1980s and has formed a series of products. However, its drying efficiency is low, the structural design is not reasonable, and it is difficult to meet the requirements of large-scale. There is still a certain gap in terms of technical level compared with foreign countries.
1. How does the vacuum dryer work?
The vacuum kneading dryer/rotary vacuum dryer is mainly composed of a cylinder, a stirring shaft, a transmission system and a sealing device. The heat required for drying is mainly provided by the agitator shaft and the jacket jacket. When the heating medium is introduced into the equipment, the heat is indirectly heated by the jacket and the stirring shaft, the moisture in the wet material is heated and vaporized, and the vaporized moisture is pumped away by the vacuum system in time. As the stirring shaft rotates continuously, the contact between the material and the heating surface is continuously updated, so that the material is uniformly heated, thereby achieving a good drying effect.
2. Development of a new vacuum squeezing dryer
There are many problems in the structure of the conventional vacuum kneading dryer. Generally, there is no internal heating structure for the shaft and the molars. Although some hollow shafts and hollow molars are used, due to the unreasonable design of the fluid flow channel structure, the drying efficiency is low, which directly restricts the scale and large-scale of the equipment. Secondly, the simple packing sealing structure will seriously affect the product. quality. In response to these problems, through the experimental research, the design institute developed a new high-efficiency vacuum squeezing dryer with excellent structure and performance (see Figure 1), and its technical level has reached the international advanced level. The main contents of the development and development of the new vacuum kneading dryer include baffle jacket, special runner type hot shaft and new sealing structure.
It is an innovation horizontal batch-type vacuum dryer.The moister of wet material will be evaporated by heat transmission. The stirrer with squeegee will remove material on hot surface and move in the container to form cycle flow .The evaporated moisture will be pumped by vacuum pump.
